Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre Now Using Quadrant Workforce

QHR is happy to announce our newest Quadrant Workforce client – Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre. An existing Quadrant Financials client for the past 10 years, the veterans’ health centre has now signed on to use the full Quadrant Workforce suite – HR, Payroll and Staff Scheduling. Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre is one of 25 QHR Software clients that are using the complete Quadrant Enterprise Management software solution (Quadrant Workforce and Quadrant Financials).
Phase one of the implementation has already begun and includes Payroll, Staff Scheduling and QHRnet. Phase two is set to begin in early 2010 and will involve HR functionality including Checklists and Notifications and User Defined Folders for training and competency management.
The Ottawa-based Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre is a home for the elderly known for innovation and leadership in geriatrics, specialization in dementia programming and exceptional Volunteer, Recreation and Creative Arts services. Opened in 1995 the Perley Rideau is home to 450 residents, 250 of whom are veterans. The Perley Rideau offers long-term, short-term, respite, and convalescent care.

QHR Welcomes New CFO
Monday, August 24th, 2009QHR is pleased to welcome Tom Mamic to the role of Chief Financial Officer with QHR Software. Tom has financial experience in both public and private organizations, managing in complex, fast-paced environments and translating strategy into structure and execution.
Prior to joining QHR, Tom has held a variety of executive and senior managerial positions in a number of technology development organizations including the President and CEO of Agrisoma Biosciences Inc., where he was a co-founder, and VP Finance and CFO of Chromos Molecular Systems Inc., where he led the company’s efforts to secure over $50 million in equity capital including an initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange. A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Mamic holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. We are thrilled to have Tom on board.

Quadrant Workforce (formerly Quadrant HR), consists of HR, payroll and staff scheduling. Quadrant Financials includes the core Dynamics GP financial product as well as Materials Management and Resident Billing & Trust modules. Together, both product suites combine to offer one powerful enterprise management software solution, one which many of our clients are already using today.

QHR adds Director of Client Services
Wednesday, July 29th, 2009QHR is pleased to welcome Mark Myers to the role of Director of Client Services.
In this newly created role, Mark will be responsible for providing executive sponsorship for all of QHR’s significant projects as well as continuing to enhance our client services team, capability and reputation within the industry. Based in Toronto, Mark comes to QHR with a wealth of experience in client services from Peoplesoft / Oracle as well as an earlier career with the TD Bank. Mark has over 15 years of implementation and client service experience working with customers deploying Payroll and HRMS software solutions.
Reporting to Mark are Evonne Dolphin, Project Manager and her implementation team across the country and Todd McNeil, Implementation Service Manager and his Winnipeg team.

Christian Horizons goes ‘live’

QHR is pleased to announce that Christian Horizons has went ‘live’ with Quadrant Payroll.
Christian Horizons purchased the complete Workforce suite of products (HR, payroll, staff scheduling and QHRnet.) in late 2008. Since then, QHR has been working with the organization to replace their service bureau payroll application. Christian Horizons has successfully deployed the payroll software and has processed a smooth payroll run.
Christian Horizons is a non-profit, Christian charitable organization that seeks to reach out with support and friendship to persons who have exceptional needs. The purpose of the organization is to contribute to the exceptional person’s quality of life by addressing his/her spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social and physical needs. They serve in a manner that considers each person’s intrinsic value as loved by God and bearing His image.

More Growth For QHR
Monday, June 1st, 2009As part of our continued growth in Eastern Canada and Ontario specifically, QHR has added several new key team members to support our eastern-based clients. The new positions are based in Toronto and include an Implementation Consultant, SQL DBA Support and Support Analyst.
In addition, we’ve also added Mike D’Arcy as Director of Sales for all of QHR Software. Mike brings with him previous experience at Microsoft Canada and is settling into our head office in Kelowna where he will oversee all Sales & Marketing related duties for the company.

New Quadrant Workforce Version Released
Monday, June 1st, 2009Version 2.9.1 of the Quadrant Workforce software (HR, payroll, and staff scheduling) has been released. Some of the new features and updates include:
- New exports including Espresso GL Export v2, Staff Scheduling data to SAP and a modified Apogee export.
- Shift levelling by position. This allows an employee to be paid contracted guaranteed hours each pay period regardless of the actual hours worked.
- New pension service method for Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSU) Pension Plan.
- Federal Budget Tax Structure changes – modifications have been made to accommodate tax structure changes in the 2009 Federal Budget.

New Name for Quadrant HR Software

New Partnership with Community Care Information Management (CCIM)
Wednesday, March 4th, 2009QHR Software is pleased to announce a partnership with CCIM to provide HR and payroll software solutions to organizations across the Community Support Services (CSS) and Community Mental Health & Addictions (CMH&A) sectors in Ontario.
QHR was awarded the contract after an RFP process and evaluation to provide human resources and payroll software solutions for the two sectors. The selected ‘best of breed’ software solutions will interface with integrated Community Care sector business systems to streamline processes and increase organizational effectiveness. Innovative, sector-specific training and support approaches will be delivered by dedicated teams after consultation with sector organizations.
QHR’s software has been specifically designed to cater to the needs of the Canadian healthcare environment, which includes specific provincial reporting and standards requirements. Organizations that use this software will have the ability to improve back office efficiencies plus provide access to timely information and reports that will assist CSS and CMH&A organizations in their planning and decision-making.

Currently, the HRIS team is working with the first group of participating CMH&A and CSS organizations that will be implementing the HR and payroll software modules. Training has now begun on both the HR and payroll software modules and will continue as other CSS and CMH&A organizations enter the implementation process.
